Concealed Carry Weapon License The process is easier than you think.
Learning the laws regulating the use of firearms is a must for responsible ownership. Local regulations differ and laws vary from state to state. Citizens must check with the jurisdiction where the firearm is to be used.
In California, the Sheriff and his staff are required to follow strict state and local guidelines when performing the necessary background checks for issuing Concealed Carry Weapon licenses. Due to the detailed nature involved with conducting these background checks, appointment times and processing times can take multiple weeks. During the application process, the applicant will be asked to schedule an appointment for a new Concealed Carry Weapon license.
- Applicants will have the ability to submit New, Renewal, Modification and Duplicate applications.
- Applicants will have the ability to pay their non-refundable application fees online
- For credit card transactions, a nominal credit card transaction fee will be charged. Charges will be viewable prior to transaction completion
- Applicants will have the ability to schedule appointments to submit NEW Carry Concealed Weapons license applications
- Appointments for Carry Concealed Weapons licenses will be processed on Tuesday's and Thursday's - 9am to 11am.
- Applicants will be able to track the progress of their application through Order Tracker https://scso.permitium.com/order_tracker
- Applicants will be able to select the method of notification they prefer regarding status updates and all correspondence related to their Concealed Carry license application as it moves through the process.
- Notifications options are email, text message or automated phone call.
*We are currently working on updating our vendors list based on the SB 2 emergency regulations relating to CCW Instructors. Please verify that the vendor you choose complies with SB 2’s trainer requirements.

- Please Note: Once you submit your application, you will not be able to add/delete/modify the firearms you have listed.
