Concealed Carry Weapon Online Application Please Enter All Information
Welcome! This is an official application for a California Concealed Carry Weapon license. You must completely and accurately fill out this application to be considered for a Concealed Carry Weapon License. Any falsification of the information within this application is a crime and will result in the denial of the applicant’s Concealed Carry Weapon license request.
Authority
California Penal Code sections 26150 and 26155 provide that a Sheriff of a county or the Chief or other head of a municipal police department of any city, or city and county, may issue a license to carry a pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed upon the person (Concealed Carry Weapon license).
Prior to Filling Out This Application
- Be prepared to scan a copy of your valid California Driver’s license or California Identification card, which reflects your current Santa Clara County address.
- Be prepared to scan copies of two (2) current and consecutive utility bills/statements that are in your name and reflect your current address in Santa Clara County. If you do not have utility bills in your name, residency documentation provided must be a monthly recurring bill. Mortgage statements and annual bills are NOT accepted. Past due bills/statements are NOT accepted.
- Employment 90-Day out of County residents are exempt.
- Be sure that each firearm you plan on listing on your Concealed Carry Weapon license is on record in the state of California in your name or your spouse’s name.
- If you are applying for a Non-Resident Limited Business License to carry a concealed firearm, please submit the following items with your application submission:
- Proof of employment at or ownership of a business within Santa Clara County
- A statement under penalty or perjury that you physically spend a substantial period of working hours at the place of employment or business within Santa Clara County
***Employment 90 day CCW renewals, please note: Any application for renewal or reissuance of such a license may be granted only upon concurrence of the original issuing authority and the licensing authority of the city or county in which the applicant resides. The license shall be valid only in the county in which the license was originally issued.(Penal Code 26220 (d))***
